上海金苹果双语学校国际部语言教研组于11月底组织了一年一度的“21世纪杯”全国英语演讲与辩论大赛于校园赛初赛，获奖选手进入上海赛区复赛。以下是部分学生赛后感言。

剑桥IG2(2)班 钱进

这是我次参加大型演讲比赛，从学校走向竞赛场是个难得的机会，这次参与锻炼了我的应变能力，对我英语口语水平的提升以及现阶段词汇量的检测大有裨益，也十分感谢英语老师的指导和鼓励。从初赛一路到获得复赛机会并不是一蹴而就的，平日里记下的每一个英语单词，每一个语法句型，一点一滴的积累，最终汇聚到赛场产生质变。学习从来就不是娱乐活动，兴趣源于活动，但成果却是取决于坚持。细节决定成败，机会总是留给有准备的人。

After I heard about the chance of the English Speaking Contest, I joined it at once without any hesitation. Because I know the result of the game should be helpful to my applicant letter for my university. And, I also realized that it is supposed to be an opportunity to temper my skill of speaking in a public place. Although I found many problems during the period and also wanted to give up, with the help and comfort of my parents and teachers, I finally finished my speaking paper and stood on the stage of the speech. However, even then I did not get the highest mark; I still learn much more than before and I really seized the chance to improve myself!

It was my first experience to take a speech. I have prepared almost two weeks for this great opportunity, and the period I have prepared was so much fun, I gained a lot of useful lessons through this experience. It was a great challenge to me to share my thoughts and opinion in front of hundreds of people. I was pretty nervous and did some mistakes, yet I don’t regret it, because I did my best. Although I'm not satisfied with the result, but it brought me up. Taking advantage of this experience, I will move forward toward the best.

语言是不仅仅是信息的载体，也是文化的一个重要组成部分，它的“美”能唤起学生内心深处的爱与热情，能让学生找到生命的意义和价值。演讲是一种技巧，也是一种能力，能让学生积极地表达自己的观点，也能让学生自信地展示自己的风采。
